Press release from Buncombe County Bar:
The Buncombe County Bar will hold a candidate forum for the May primary on Tuesday, May 3, 6-9pm in the Buncombe County Courthouse, courtroom 1A.
This forum is being organized by the Buncombe County Bar as part of our responsibility for public service and public education regarding the legal system. Attorney James Kilbourne will serve as moderator for the Sheriff and District Attorney candidates. We intend to live stream the event, and will publish a link a week before the event. Candidates have been invited to submit profiles and campaign statements, which will be published in an email to all Bar members before the forum.
The forum is open to all Bar members and to the public. Bar members are invited to submit questions via email to Bar Administrator Lisa-Gaye Hall at admin@28thJDB.com, with the subject heading “Question For Candidates.” We intend to live stream the event on Zoom, and will publish a link a week before the event.
