Group of juveniles steal a car at gunpoint July 14, APD seeks public assistance

Asheville Police Department Officers responded to a business just south of Biltmore Village, on Belvedere Rd. for a juvenile bleeding from the head. Last Friday, July 14th, at 9:00 p.m., the victim was accosted by a group of juveniles who had robbed him of his wallet, bookbag and the vehicle he was driving. One of the robbers had struck the victim in the face with a pistol before fleeing, the victim went to a nearby business for help.

Detectives are searching for a blue 2019 Toyota Camry bearing North Carolina license plate JMP-3078. If you have any information about this or any other incident, you can anonymously share information by texting TIP2APD to 847411 (Tip411).  You can also contact APD directly at (828) 252-1110.
