CarePartners awarded accreditation from Joint Commission

From press release:

ASHEVILLE – CarePartners has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality. The accreditation award recognizes CarePartners’s dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s state of the art standards.

“We are honored to have received the accreditation of the Joint Commission. At CarePartners, the exceptional care of our patients always comes first and I congratulate all the staff of CarePartners for this important achievement,” said Tracy Buchanan, President and CEO of CarePartners.

CarePartners underwent a rigorous on-site survey in March. Several Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated CarePartners for compliance in all areas of care with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.

“In achieving Joint Commission accreditation, CarePartners has demonstrated its commitment to the highest level of care for its patients and that goes above and beyond federal and state requirements,” says Gina Zimmermann, M.S., executive director, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Accreditation, The Joint Commission.

Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission seeks to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value..
