Champion Credit Union donates $100,000 to the public school systems in the nine counties that they serve after saving their members over $100,000 in loan interest in 2015 by refinancing with Champion Credit Union.

Champion Credit Union donates $100,000 to public school systems
Benefiting public school systems in Haywood, Buncombe, Henderson, Jackson, Swain, Macon, Graham, Madison, and Transylvania Counties.

WHEN: Thursday, February 25 at 11:00 am. Champion Credit Union president and staff, as well as superintendents and other school representatives, will gather to celebrate the $100,000 savings to our members and award $100,000 to the public school systems.

WHY: In 2015, CCU kicked off their Schooled on Savings campaign, which was designed to show their members how borrowing with their local credit union can help their community. Champion Credit Union set a goal to save their members at least $100,000 in loan interest by refinancing with them. To take things a step further, Champion Credit Union decided to take the $100,000 in savings and roll that directly into the communities that they serve in an impactful way, specifically to the public school systems, to illustrate how borrowing with your local credit union helps your community.

In Attendance Will Be:

  • Champion Credit Union employees
  • Superintendents and other school personnel representing each system
