According to the Hendersonville Times-News, The leaders of a Christian conference in Hendersonville this month say they want to give girls the tools they need to make good choices as they face the challenges of growing up. “The message I want these girls to know is you don’t have to make bad choices,” said Melissa Walters, the keynote speaker at the Glory Girls conference. “You can make better choices if you know who you are. The girls in this day and time and when I was younger are crying out to know who they are in Christ.” The conference, sponsored by Mud Creek Baptist Church, will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. March 10 at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. It is open to girls in sixth through 12th grade.
Walters said she has wanted to hold a conference just for girls for years but only recently found the time and the opportunity to work with Mud Creek and the Bible institute to put the event together.
