Here’s the press release from the campaign of Ethan Wingfield:
Arden, North Carolina – Ethan Wingfield, conservative Republican and Congressional candidate, was officially announced as an ‘On the Radar’ candidate by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) last Friday. This is the second step in the NRCC’s ‘Young Guns’ program founded by Congressmen Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan during the 2007-2008 election cycle. The program was designed to recruit strong Republican candidates for both open-seat and challenger races..
“We are looking forward to working with Ethan Wingfield, who has already proven himself by meeting rigorous benchmarks in the ‘Young Guns’ program that will position his campaign for victory,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX). “Ethan Wingfield’s dedication and experience enables him to advocate effectively for pro-growth policies and fight the failed status quo in Washington. This will stand in stark contrast to the Obama-Pelosi record of spending, borrowing and taxing that North Carolina families and small businesses know has failed.”
“The NRCC announcement that our campaign has achieved ‘On the Radar’ status is yet another confirmation that the hard work of so many supporters has elevated us to the top tier of this race. While other candidates like to read their own press releases and talk about being frontrunners, we are focused on building an aggressive campaign that will win and help bring about bold, conservative solutions that restore America. People are tired of talk. They want solutions, and they want results. That is why our campaign grows stronger by the day and why we will win in May and then in November,” said Ethan Wingfield.
