COVID-19 community testing site for Henderson County, July 21

Press release from Henderson County Department of Public Health:

The Henderson County Health Department will offer another COVID-19 testing site for the public on July 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at East Henderson High School, 150 Eagle Pride Drive, East Flat Rock 28726. The testing site will be set up at 85 Stadium Way in the gymnasium.

Testing is open to the community and all are welcome while supplies last. The test comes at no charge while those with insurance are asked to bring their cards. Attendees will have their insurance billed directly to cover costs of the testing. Those without insurance will still be tested at no cost. No one will be turned away.

You not need a referral or to be symptomatic to get tested.

Social distancing measures are taken during the testing process. Everyone is urged to wear a face covering of some kind. If you do not have one, a face covering will be provided.

Attendees are encouraged to print and fill out a screening form prior to visiting the test site. English and Spanish copies of the form can be found at https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/health/page/public-health-advisory-coronavirus-covid-19

While North Carolinians are in the “Safer at Home, Phase 2” re-opening, it is imperative that everyone take responsibility for their actions as they experience the easing of restrictions. Everyone is encouraged to “Know Your W’s!”:  Wear a face covering, Wait 6 feet apart from other people, Wash your hands often.

It is important to make sure the information you are getting about COVID-19 is coming directly from reliable sources like the CDC, NCDHHS and Henderson County Public Health.
