COVID Treatment Options webinar set for March 31

Press release from Buncombe County:

COVID treatments are available in Buncombe County and several programs and providers in our community may be able support a safe and speedy recovery for you or a loved one. COVID treatments are still somewhat new, which is why local medical providers are coming together to discuss treatment options, how they work, eligibility for treatment, and access to treatment in our area. Audience questions will be fielded during the event so our panelists can answer them at the end. This is a great opportunity to learn more and to ask questions about this important health intervention in the pandemic.

Let’s Talk: COVID Treatment Options is running LIVE on March 31st from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The event will be livestreamed in English on the Buncombe County Government Facebook page, in Spanish on the Buncombe County Health and Human Services page, and in American Sign Language on both pages. Questions about COVID treatment will be fielded during this Let’s Talk event.

Panelists Include:
Grace Barnwell, Nurse Practitioner at Mercy Urgent Care
Dr. Stephanie Call, Chair of Internal Medicine for MAHEC
Dr. Chris Parsons, Medical Director for Pardee Center for Infectious Diseases
Facilitated by: Dr. Jennifer Mullendore, Buncombe County Medical Director
