National Council on Aging press release:
People affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton can apply for Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP), which was created to help people recover from devastating natural disasters.
Eligible households receive one month of benefits. This amount is equal to the maximum SNAP benefit amount typically issued to a SNAP household of the same size. People need to contact their nearest SNAP office for further details on disaster SNAP and how to apply for benefits.

Laughable….beating a dead horse. Infrastructure was shot in the first place…funds misused and no repairs done to the existing dilapidated water/sewer infrastructure. Now the city lucks out and has received even more money and are getting the cheapest quickie water repairs done. Whatever happened to original monies allocated for repairing existing antiquated infrastructure? Guess what: Ashevillians are the guinea pigs for cheap, quickie solution.
