I am most probably only one of many members of the electorate who would demand a print-out from the computer that tabulates the record of my ballot on the day it was cast, and presented to the citizen upon leaving the voting office. Now that the Supreme Court has upheld the state’s voting restrictions in Arizona, it will become illegal for billionaires to fund underhanded schemes for “ballot harvesting,” a fraudulent practice that overwhelmed county election boards in states where these partisan organizations operated in 2020. In news reports of July 1, 2021, the Supreme Court’s ruling opines that “mere inconvenience cannot be enough to demonstrate a violation” of the Voting Rights Act. This is a win for the American People, a clear majority of whom feel that irregularities in the 2020 election brought about the current mistrust in the electoral system. Those on the far-Left who oppose actions to restore trust in the system express conflicting statements: On one hand, left-leaning partisans claim that the 2020 Election was the most secure election ever; while they also cry foul against interference from foreign entities they claim hacked into that same system. How can both of these claims be true? This is probably one reason the Court ruled in favor of actions to restrict voters who are illegal immigrants and have not done what is needed to become a citizen of our nation, a Constitutional requirement for participating in any election. Finally, the pendulum swings in The People’s favor.
