We are excited to begin fundraising for an outdoor kitchen facility at the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden!
At Empty Bowls events guests select a hand-made bowl from among the unique bowls thrown just for this event, and have a simple meal of soup and bread. You get to keep the bowl and take it home as a reminder that someone’s bowl is always empty.
Our Empty Bowls fundraiser will be Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden (99 White Pine Drive). Garden tours will be available beginning at 5:00, and attendees can learn about the exciting projects the garden has underway – from the fruit and nut trees to the mushroom forest, not to mention the fun things people are growing in their plots.
You will also get to hear about projects we have in the works (including the outdoor kitchen).
Tickets are $25 each, and can be purchased at the Carver Community Center (101 Carver Ave). We have a limited number and expect to sell out before the event, so get your tickets ASAP.
