Enjoy today; snow in forecast this week

The National Weather Service says the Asheville area could see snow over several days starting Monday night, but temperatures today should be moderate with partly sunny skies.

The weather service says the high today should be 52.

Monday likely will bring a wintry mix of rain and snow along with a high of 40 degrees. NWS says accumulation is unlikely.

On Tuesday, the probability of snow mixed with rain climbs to 50 percent, and the area may start to feel the effects of the massive winter storm moving from the west.
Some accumulation is likely.

Again on Wednesday precipitation is likely with a high of 39.
