First United Methodist Church holds garage sale, Aug. 10 & 11

Press release from First United Methodist Church:

HENDERSONVILLE:  First United Methodist Church is holding a mammoth garage sale on Thursday, August 10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, August 11, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church’s Barber Christian Life Center is filled with treasures including housewares, toys, kitchenware, yard equipment, sporting gear and lots more.

Garage Sale proceeds will go to local missions that serve the homeless and working poor. “We strive to be a boldly missional church,” says Pastor Mark Ralls. “Last year’s Sale raised more than $13,000. We expect to exceed that number and provide greater support to local ministries in our community.”

Donated merchandise in working order will be accepted August 7 + 8, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please, no telephones, TVs, computer hardware and software, artificial Christmas trees, or golf clubs.

Every shopper can satisfy their sweet tooth at the Bake Sale featuring homemade cookies, brownies, cakes and pies. Gluten- and sugar-free items will also be available for sale.
