PRESS RELEASE:
The U.S. Forest Service has unveiled its schedule of Kids Fishing Days for spring 2012 in the Nantahala, Pisgah, Uwharrie, and Croatan National Forests in North Carolina. The schedule is posted online at: www.fs.usda.gov/nfsnc, click on “Schedule of Kids Fishing Days.”
Adults must accompany children attending Kids Fishing Days. The events allow families and friends to share fun and quality outdoor time together while learning about one of our nation’s favorite pastimes – fishing. Kids Fishing Days give children an appreciation of America’s great outdoors, the splendor of the national forests in North Carolina and the benefits nature provides such as clean air and water.
Many of the events are conducted as part of National Fishing and Boating Week, June 2-10.
