Mon. 12/3 4-5 pm. Mad Scientist on Wheels. Join us at Fletcher Library for Budding Artists. Learn how to create art with nature. Call 828-687-1218 to register.

Tues. 12/4-Fri. 12/7 All Day. Winter Craft Corner – Snowmen. Have fun making crafts that reflect the season! This activity is free for members/free with $5 admission and is sponsored by Etowah Valley Veterinary Hospital.

Tues. 12/4, 11, 18  11:00-11:30 am. Mad Scientist LabAll about magnets! Ages 3 yrs. & up. Join us in the Mad Scientist Lab as we make crazy concoctions. Mad Scientists Lab will be every Tuesday morning at 11:00. This activity is free for members/free with $5 admission and is sponsored by Van Winkle Law Firm.  Limited spaces. Please call 697-8333 to register.

Fri. 12/7, 14, 21, 28 2:00-5:00 pm Makerspace in the Discovery Room! Come to the Discovery room every Friday and use your imagination to create! Children must be accompanied by an adult that will assist in the making. This exhibit is free for members/free with $5 admission. Space is limited. Sponsored by Carland & Andersen, Inc. Certified Public Accountants.

 Thurs. 12/6 4:30-5:30 pm. Mad Scientist on Wheels. Join us at the Green River Library for States of Matter. Learn about the different states of matter and how they interact in our lives. Call 828-697-4969 to register. 

Tues. 12/11 All About Chemistry!  Get your SCIENCE ON in the DISCOVERY ROOM! Special guest scientists from the American Association of University Woman (AAUW) will be conducting experiments in CHEMISTRY! Designed for children ages 7-12. All About Chemistry is free with $5 admission/free for members. Please call 828-697-8333 to register.

Thurs. 12/13 11:00-12:00 pm. Blue Ridge Humane Day! Come visit a special animal from the Blue Ridge Humane Society. This activity is free for members/free with $5 admission.

Wed. 12/26-Fri. 12/28 All Day. Celebrate New Year’s!  Make noisemakers to ring in the New Year. Also, write your New Year’s resolutions and/or wishes. This activity is free for members/free with $5 admission.

Hands On! Children’s Museum’s mission is to provide “hands on” educational experiences that stimulate the imagination and motivate learning in a fun, safe environment. The museum is located at 318 North Main Street in historic downtown Hendersonville, NC. Regular hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 5pm. The museum will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.  Closed on Sunday and Monday. General admission price is $5 for adults and children.
