Hard-2-Recycle event returns to Weaverville on June 9

Press release from Asheville GreenWorks:

Hard-2-Recycle is a free recycling event for Buncombe County residents. With help from our sponsors, we collect items that normally end up in the landfill such as electronics, TVs, batteries, styrofoam, and books. The goal is to conserve space in the landfill, reduce our use of natural resources and promote proper disposal of waste. We hold 5 collections each year, seeking to reach all four corners of the County and one event in Downtown Asheville. Click here for the full list of all the items we accept.

The only item we charge for are CRT (big back) TVs and monitors. The disposal fee for these devices is $10. Cathode ray tube (CRT) devices contain lead and mercury which are hazardous.

Hard-2-Recycle will run from 10 am – 2 pm. The event is located in the East parking lot of King Bio, formerly Arvato Digital Services (108 Monticello Road, Weaverville).
