Heartfelt Haywood hosts a holiday grief gathering for families and children

Press release from Heartfelt Haywood:

Heartfelt Haywood: Living, Grieving and Dying Well is a newly formed 501(c)3 whose mission is to build a community where no one dies alone, no one grieves alone and caregivers are supported and valued. This year we hosted our first four Healing Hearts Half-day Camps for grieving children. We formed a board of directors. We partnered with local organizations, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to plan and host new grief programs to support our community.

On Sunday, December 15 from 2 to 4pm, we are hosting our first Holiday Gathering at the Wells Events Center in Waynesville. We will gather to remember and celebrate the lives of those we have lost. This free event, open to all, will include music, food, and fellowship. Come make an ornament or luminary to remember a loved one. Santa will be there to listen to your wish list! Thank you to the WNC Bridge Foundation for their sponsorship and to Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care and the Wells Events Center for their partnership. Another big thank you to the Haywood Health Foundation for funding the four half-day equine grief camps held earlier in the year. RSVP 404/242-5400 with number of adults and children.
