SUPPORTING MAHEC & OUR STAFF
“Hurricane Helene has deeply impacted our community and staff and we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support we’ve received,” said MAHEC CEO William R. Hathaway, MD. Those who would like to help can give online at MAHEC.net/donate and direct their support to Helene recovery, contributing to one or both of the following funds:
- The MAHEC Employee Assistance Fund: “Our team is the heart of MAHEC, and many are facing personal hardships due to Hurricane Helene,” said Dr. Hathaway. “This newly established fund provides direct support to help them recover and rebuild. Your gift ensures that those who care for others are also cared for in their time of need.”
- The MAHEC Annual Fund: The launch of this fund was recently announced at MAHEC’s 50th anniversary celebration on September 19. Related to the impacts of Hurricane Helene, Dr. Hathaway said, “Contributions to this fund are essential to sustaining patient care and clinical services, helping us rebuild and preparing for future challenges. Your support enables us to remain a vital resource for our community, even in times of crisis,” said Dr. Hathaway.
“Supporting both funds helps us meet immediate needs while building resilience for the future. Thank you for standing with us,” said Dr. Hathaway. “Together, we will recover, rebuild, and continue serving our Western North Carolina community.”
