Hendersonville City Council adds second monthly meeting to regular schedule

Press release from the city of Hendersonville:

In order to expedite the public’s business and make the monthly meetings of the City Council more efficient, the Council will begin holding a second monthly meeting.

The second monthly meeting will be held in a workshop format to give the Council an opportunity to receive and discuss information.

Ground Rules Established: The following rules were established by the City Council:

  • The meeting will last no more than two hours.
  • If there is nothing to discuss, staff will request the meeting be canceled.
  • No formal action/votes will be taken.
  • The meeting will be held at the regularly scheduled date and time.

The regular second monthly meeting or workshop is scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of every month. Following are the dates for the remainder of 2020.

June 24, 2020

July 22, 2020

August 26, 2020

September 23, 2020

October 28, 2020

November 25, 2020

December 23, 2020

Because of various emergency orders limiting the number of meeting attendees, the Hendersonville City Council will continue to provide virtual access to regular meetings, second monthly meetings and special meetings. Meetings can be accessed athttps://publicinput.com/hvlcitycouncil or by visiting the City’s website at www.hendersonvillenc.gov.

Please note: All meetings of the City Council will be held in the Assembly Room of the Operations Center, 305 Williams St., Hendersonville NC, until further notice.
