HT-N: Hendersonville couple on probation for poaching

A Hendersonville couple, featured on Drury Outdoors’ reality shows, including the series “Dream Season,” featured on the Outdoor Channel, have been convicted of poaching in Nevada — thanks in part to the illegal hunts videotaped for the series.

The Hendersonvile Times-News reported Wednesday that Jason W. Edney and Britney J. Edney were sentenced to serve probation and pay restitution last March. They have since returned to Western North Carolina where their probation, which includes a ban on hunting, continues.

NGPC and U.S. Fish and Wildlife investigators “uncovered hunting violations that included more than 25 instances of overbagging or hunting turkeys without permits, 29 illegally taken deer, 17 instances of failing to check deer and five small-game violations,” a news release says.
