Industrial Executives Forum to be held April 19 at Blue Ridge Community College

Here’s the info from the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development:

Henderson County Industrial Representatives and Members of the Partnership are invited to attend the 2012 Industrial Executives Forum scheduled for Thursday, April 19th at Blue Ridge Community College’s Technology, Education and Development Center from 8:30-11:30 am. The forum is offered at no cost to industry and members thanks to sponsorship support provided by Find Great People International and PSNC Energy.

Over 110 persons have already RSVP’d for the Industrial Executives Forum on Thursday, April 19th from 8:30-11:30am at Blue Ridge Community College’s Technology Education and Development Center. The forum’s agenda is driven by feedback from our existing industry leadership, and this year will focus on workforce – specifically the gap between high unemployment and the challenge in identifying employees with ready skillsets. Speakers include Tom Tveidt with Syneva Economics, Terry Collins with GE Lighting Solutions, Bill Medlin with Legacy Paddlesports, and Pam Howze with Siemens Corporation. A unique component of the forum will be integration of an audience polling system. The system will allow all attendees to provide responses to questions throughout the forum, and for those answers to be displayed in aggregate form in real time. This will be engaging for participants, but also valuable as we attempt to collect information that will ultimately benefit the manufacturers in Henderson County. We hope you can be there, please RSVP. Deadline to respond and attend the event is 5pm on Tuesday, April 17th.
