June 17 film screening of “Bringing it Home,” documentary on industrialized hemp

Lookout Brewing, Hi-Wire Brewing and Urban Orchard Cider have collaborated on a special collaboration brew made with hemp seed oil. The beer is launched in celebration of  “Bringing It Home,” a documentary about industrialized hemp, which features a house in Asheville made of hempcrete.

The film will be screened on Tuesday, June 17, at Asheville Community Theatre. Show time is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10. Filmmaker Linda Booker says, “We’re thrilled to have other Asheville organizations’ support, including Organic Grower’s School, Green Festival, Fifth Season Gardening, Roots Hummus and Green Sage Cafe.” Lookout Brewing will also be on hand at the event, selling the specially-made hemp beer.
