Literary Open Stage at the Upstairs Artspace in Tryon on July 18

Established and emerging writers are invited to share their work, finished or in progress, at the bi-monthly Literary Open Stage at the Upstairs Artspace in Tryon, NC, Friday, July 18.  Sign-up for the 10-minute spots begins at 6:30 p.m., with readings at 7:00 p.m.  Listeners, as well, are encouraged to attend for an eclectic evening of everything from fiction and creative non-fiction, to poetry.

The Upstairs Artspace is a non-profit art gallery whose mission is to develop an understanding and appreciation of contemporary art and craft forms through exhibits, programs and educational activities that enrich the cultural life of the region. Its free programs are made possible through the support of the Polk County Community Foundation, the North Carolina Council of the Arts and the generous support of its members.  The gallery is located at 49 South Trade Street.
