Local artist creates arts program for veterans

Asheville based Expressive Artist Jimi Seidel who has twenty years of experience creating and delivering innovative Expressive Arts Programs regionally and locally has created and conducted an effective, well received Pilot Program valued at almost $4000 at no cost to the Charles George Veterans Administration Medical Center (CGVAMC) Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Therapy Program (SARRTP) and will be conducting another Program as part of an ongoing series this November 2016.

These sessions will be held at the CGVAMC / SARRTP Recreation space and are formatted to provide approximately 8 hours of Contact time over several sessions to be held from Tues. 11-8-16 through Thurs. 11-22-16 , including a Closing event during which participants will share their finished Individual works and Group piece.

The Program will focus on creating individual Mosaic Mandalas as well as group piece but may include other Artistic disciplines such as Music and Creative Writing.
Expressive Artist Jimi Seidel has conducted Programs with many schools, Universities,Parks, Social Service Agencies and Corporations among them The American Cancer Society,Hospice of Greensboro, Deliver the Dream and locally including Arts 2 People,LAAFF, Bel Chere and several schools and churches as well as donating his time and Artwork to local Non Profits.

He will be again seeking community support in the form of donations for materials and Artist fees and has created a GoFundMe campaign at : https://www.gofundme.com/CGVAMC to raise the budgeted $3500 and provide the CGVAMC with another valuable Program at no cost to the Veterans that will participate .
