Local arts nonprofits invited to apply for AAAC grants

Press release from Asheville Area Arts Council:

The Asheville Area Arts Council is now accepting applications for grants of up to $5,000 to support operating expenses for local nonprofit arts organizations.

Since 1977, the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program (GAP) has provided per capita based funding for the arts in all 100 counties of the state through partnerships with local arts councils. As the designated arts agency for Buncombe County, the Asheville Area Arts Council is charged with regranting our local allocation. An additional $50,000 in American Rescue Plan was awarded to Asheville Area Arts Council by Buncombe County Government for this grant cycle.
