ASHEVILLE, NC – Parsec Financial will honor this years recipients of the 2015 Parsec Prize at a reception in their office at 6 Wall Street in Asheville. The reception will be this evening from 5pm to 7pm and the media is invited.
This year, seven organizations will share a total of $110,000, the most that Parsec has ever given for the Parsec Prize. The 2015 Parsec Prize recipients are:
Gold award winners – $20,000 each
- Pisgah Legal Services
- Arc of Buncombe County
- Urban Ministry Center
Silver award winners – $15,000 each
- The Cindy Platt Boys and Girls Club of Transylvania County
- Open Doors of Asheville
Bronze award winners – $10,000 each
- Augustine Literacy Project
- Green Opportunities
Parsec Financial founded the Parsec Prize in 2005. Since that time, Parsec has given over $700,000 in prizes to 51 local charities and non-profits serving Western North Carolina and Charlotte. The Parsec Prize represents one half of Parsec’s annual giving.
