Local teen author H. B. Clementine relelases award-winning debut novel

BookLogix is pleased to announce the release of Nothing But Your Memories, the award-winning debut novel from teen author H. B. Clementine. The novel was selected as the winner of the 2013 BookLogix Young Writers Contest.

H. B. Clementine was just 14 years old when she wrote Nothing But Your Memories. The former Asheville Christian Academy student, whose family resides in the Asheville area, is now a junior at the nationally recognized North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. “I have been writing since I was nine years old, and BookLogix gave me the opportunity to pursue a dream,” said Clementine.

In Nothing But Your Memories, future overpopulation forces the emergence of The Alternation of Generation society in which bodies and time are shared. This cutting-edge lifestyle was ingenious, but it shielded wicked secrets from its citizens, now forced to trade continuous life for an eternity of scattered years. A young woman named Mira finds herself trapped in the endless cycle with a desperate wish to be free. But with her fight to escape, Mira only grabs the attention of far more powerful and ruthless foes.

The BookLogix Young Writers Contest is an annual contest that recognizes the talents of young writers ages 10 through 18 and includes a $5,000 publishing prize. Nothing But Your Memories was selected by a panel of judges that includes publishers, editors, teachers, and more, out of entries submitted from all across the United States. “It’s a true privilege for us to help discover inspiring talent like H. B. Clementine’s and to help her fulfill her dream of becoming a published author,” said Angela DeCaires, Publishing Director, BookLogix. “We see a very bright and successful literary career for this talented young woman.”
