Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Celebration to be held virtually

Press release from Community Foundation of Henderson County:

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast Committee has announced that the 2021 MLK, Jr. Unity Celebration will be held virtually. Due to current health conditions, the traditional breakfast held at Blue Ridge Community College was moved to a virtual format that includes a video showcasing some of Henderson County’s history and how the community has worked in unity to grow throughout the years. The video is not live, and viewers are invited to watch from the comfort of their homes beginning any time after 9:00 AM on Monday, January 18th. The video will be posted at www.cfhcforever.org/impact-insights/funds-in-focus/mlk-unity.

It is the Committee’s hope that viewers will be able to take some of the history showcased in the event, and consider how the Henderson County community can grow through collaboration and unity and move forward from the challenges of 2020.
