Missing Middle to kick off with presentation from Opticos Design

Press release from City of Asheville:

The City of Asheville is beginning a housing study that will seek to identify barriers that negatively impact the production of housing supply in Asheville. Named the Missing Middle Housing study, the year-long effort will employ guidance from Opticos Design, Inc, a California-based consulting firm, to gather data, interview stakeholders and the public, and develop recommendations that will help the city to prioritize next steps to better align regulations with city goals. c

As part of the Building Our City speaker series produced by the Asheville Downtown Association and Urban3, Jennifer Settle of Opticos Design will present a public presentation titled MISSING MIDDLE HOUSING: Thinking Big, Building Small to Respond to Today’s Housing Crisis. The presentation will be held tonight, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 5:30-7PM at the Collider, 1 Haywood Street #4th floor Asheville, NC 28801. For free tickets to the presentation, visit Eventbrite link here.
