Mountain Roots, Inc. (a local grassroots non-profit) is bringing back their day-long Women’s Roots Retreat (offered twice per year) for local women to address these needs. The next retreat is Saturday December 15, 2018 at Laughing Waters Retreat Center (Gerton, NC). The Women’s Roots Retreat consists of a day of art, yoga, hiking, fresh mountain air, and community. This retreat has a focus on creating hand-crafted holiday gifts. The retreat costs just $45 in advance or $50 at the door and gets you an entire day of fun and adventure with new and old friends, and some cool projects to take home (pot luck lunch—bring a dish to share).
