Press release

From Mountain BizWorks

Asheville, NC – September 28, 2012: Mountain BizWorks announces a new course called Business Anatomy for Holistic Healers, a three-session seminar geared toward holistic healing practitioners that gives current and prospective business owners the resources and support needed to run a successful business. Business Anatomy for Holistic Healers will correlate business anatomy with human anatomy, and reveal why business concepts matter and how to apply them.

“This is one sector that has been under-supported by business service providers in Western North Carolina, and we are glad to be able to offer this new approach for natural and holistic entrepreneurs,” says Sharon Oxendine, Asheville-Buncombe Program Director at Mountain BizWorks. The class will benefit herbalists, massage therapists, yoga instructors, health and wellness businesses, natural product manufacturers, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and others, with techniques for success in business practices.

The course is led by Bonnie Willow, author of the book “Love, Light & Business: Business Anatomy for Holistic Healers.” Bonnie Willow, Reiki Master, Interfaith Minister, and artist, has practiced Transformative Energy Healing for over 30 years. She teaches workshops on healing, intuition, business, and consciousness. Bonnie is founder and director at the School of Peace in North Carolina, located in Asheville.

The first offering of Business Anatomy for Holistic Healers will meet Fridays, October 12th, 19th and 26th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Mountain BizWorks office, 153 S. Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville. The course fee is $120, and includes a copy of Bonnie’s book. Pre-registration is required.

In this three-session seminar, participants will:
• Discover correlations between human anatomy and business anatomy
• Assess the Business Self: motives, relationships, business skills, and ownership
• Create a Business Identity, marketing statements, and elevator pitch
• Demystify and simplify bookkeeping and pricing

Business Anatomy for Holistic Healers will lead participants through the steps to rebalance any imbalances within the business model, develop brand identity through creative tasks, and provide tools to overcome barriers in financial sustainability. Any business in the realm of holistic healing or alternative medicine will benefit from this seminar.
