N.C. Mountain State Fair to host Ingles Day

Visitors to the Mountain State Fair on Ingles Day can exchange five cans of Laura Lynn brand food for admission to the fair.

PRESS RELEASE:

FLETCHER – Fairgoers will have a chance to save on admission and help their community during the N.C. Mountain State Fair’s annual Ingles Day on Wednesday.

Five cans of Laura Lynn brand food will earn visitors free gate admission all day. Food collected will be donated to the MANNA Food Bank, which serves 16 counties in North Carolina. In 2015, the fair set two records during the event.

“Ingles Day continues to be one of our most popular days at the fair,” said fair manager Matt Buchanan. “We set a new attendance record in 2015 with 14,882 people, and were able to donate 21,000 pounds of food to the MANNA Food Bank.”

The N.C. Mountain State Fair runs through Sept. 18 at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher. Gates will be open from 3 to 11 p.m. on Ingles Day. More information, including a complete schedule, is available at www.mountainfair.org.
