“A city man is facing charges after police say he was found walking naked this morning on Montford Avenue near the downtown.
The man’s name was listed as John Doe 1188 because he had no identification with him and police could not confirm his identity, but officers believe he is a city resident. The man appeared intoxicated, according to police.
He was charged with indecent exposure and being intoxicated and disruptive, according to warrants at the Buncombe County magistrate’s office.
Asheville police made the arrest at 6 a.m. The man was walking in the center of the street, according to warrants.
John Doe 1188 is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $500 bond.
