Pono Home announces its new green franchise opportunity as a new way for aspiring entrepreneurs to own their own business while doing good for their communities and the planet. Pono Home is a green home service business founded in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is based on the Hawaiian word pono, meaning righteous and good. Pono Home helps homeowners and renters conveniently and affordably reduce their carbon and water footprints, save money on their utility bills, and live greener and healthier, for life.

Before launching as a national franchise, Pono Home was selected by the highly competitive clean energy incubator Energy Excelerator as part of its 2014 cohort to help wean Hawaii, and the world, off of fossil fuels.

Pono Home founder and CEO Scott Cooney will be providing complimentary food and drink, prizes and a one-hour presentation on the company’s green franchise opportunities. Attendees will get a hands-on tour of the Pono Home toolbox, software and inventory management system, and learn more about becoming an owner of a growing green franchise.

About Pono Home:
Pono Home was founded in 2013 by Scott Cooney. The evolution of Pono Home was borne from Cooney’s pragmatic approach to low-cost, high-return green initiatives he has taken both personally and professionally throughout his life, and through consistently underperforming sustainability initiatives where “convenience” didn’t enter the equation of planning committees. The combination of a relentless passion for sustainability and a practical business mind helped Cooney create Pono Home as a solution to greening peoples’ homes across the world through a packaged offering of convenience and a high return on investment. Cooney has been a serial eco-entrepreneur since 2003, having started and grown five mission-driven companies.
