Obama administration officials will visit Blue Ridge Food Ventures today, Aug. 15

FULL RELEASE:

On August 15-16, 2012, Obama Administration senior officials will travel to North Carolina and Louisiana to visit local winners of the Rural Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge, the I-20 Corridor Regional Accelerator (a partnership of Louisiana Tech University and Winrock International) and the WNC AgriVentures: Cultivating Jobs and Innovation Project (led by AdvantageWest and Land-of-Sky Regional Council).

On August 15, officials will tour the Blue Ridge Food Ventures kitchen incubator and hold a roundtable in Candler, NC. A tour of the Enterprise Center at the Louisiana Tech Campus will follow the next day, along with a roundtable discussion with local stakeholders. Recently, the Administration announced 13 winners of the Rural Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge to foster job creation and business innovation in rural communities.
