Outward Bound international conference to bring 32 countries to Hendersonville

From North Carolina Outward Bound School:

North Carolina Outward Bound School hosts the Outward Bound International Conference November 1st – 4th at the Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, N.C..

Outward Bound International is comprised of 45 Outward Bound Schools in 32 countries around the world. Executive Director of North Carolina Outward Bound School, Whitney Montgomery, said: “It is truly an honor to share Western North Carolina with members of the international Outward Bound organization. In addition to three days of strategic planning and sharing of best practices, we will honor the 75th anniversary of the founding of Outward Bound by Dr. Kurt Hahn.” The theme of the Conference is “Building Today for a Stronger Tomorrow” and representatives from every OBI country are expected to attend; from Canada to Nepal to Australia.

North Carolina Outward Bound School is a not for profit educational organization and part of a national network of Outward Bound schools in the U.S. that serves people of all ages and backgrounds through challenging learning expeditions that focus on character development, leadership and service. NCOBS served close to 5,000 students last year alone.

As the pioneer and leading provider of experiential and outdoor education, NCOBS helps individuals and teams discover strength of character and an aptitude for leadership needed to serve others in their community and care for the world around them.
