With the early resignation of Commissioner Miranda DeBruhl (R), the Democratic Party is excited to announce that another District 3 seat will be up for election this Fall. Because the primary election has come and gone, the Democratic Party executive committee residing in District 3 (Precinct Chairs and Vice Chairs) will elect a Democrat to be placed on the November 2016 ballot.

City seeks volunteers to serve on ADU homestay task force
City Council voted at its May 17 meeting to create an advisory task force to study Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) as homestay rentals. The City Clerk is now accepting applications from Asheville residents interested in serving on the task force.
