Pardee UNC Health Care announces plans to expand health care services

Pardee UNC Health Care is excited to announce that it is once again expanding health care services offered in Transylvania County. Pardee Medical Associates – Brevard located at 1409 Asheville Hwy will open in early April 2021 with seven new providers joining the practice.

“Pardee is honored to be able to expand our services in Transylvania County,” said Dr. David Ellis, chief medical officer, Pardee UNC Health Care. “These seven providers joining our primary care network represent a diverse group of highly trained professionals who have a long history of providing a range of advanced care to patients in Transylvania County.”

Pardee Medical Associates – Brevard will offer primary care medical services to adults and children of all ages including complete physical exams, preventative medical care, treatment and management of chronic diseases, dietary counseling and weight management, mental health care, including diagnosis and treatment of stress, anxiety, depression and other emotional health conditions, among others.

Family medicine physicians James Bryant, MD, Ernesto De la Torre, MD, Marshall Shane Foster, MD, Leanne Kline, MD, Harrell Royer, MD, Timothy Shea, MD, and Reid Usedom, DO will staff the practice. Details about how to establish care, including scheduling appointments, will be shared after Feb. 15. Most insurance will be accepted at this new practice.

Pardee UNC Health Care is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. Pardee has several locations separate from the main campus, including a comprehensive physician practice network, a cancer center, four urgent care locations and six orthopedic clinics. Pardee Primary Care – Arden

Pardee UNC Health Care is excited to announce that it is expanding primary care services with the addition of Pardee Primary Care – Arden. The practice, located at 2775 Hendersonville Rd., will open in early April 2021.

“Pardee is honored to be able to offer additional health care options to residents of both Henderson and Buncombe County,” said Dr. David Ellis, chief medical officer, Pardee UNC Health Care.

“The six providers joining our primary care network in Arden represent a diverse group of highly trained professionals who have a long history of providing a range of advanced care to adults and children.”
