David Troy Francis is an exciting, authoritative performer described by the Los Angeles Times as consistently absorbing, whether in lyrical repose or compulsive fury. Mr. Francis has recorded eight cds ranging from his unique arrangements of American Hymns to the world premiere recording of Pulitzer Prize winning composer Ned Rorem’s technically formidable Eight Etudes for Piano.

Mr. Francis has served as the recording pianist for film including Pursuit of Happyness, Fame and Elegy.

He is the executive producer and composer of the smash musical BARK! and has composed for both television and film.

Mr. Francis is the artistic director of the Asheville non-profit The Modern American Music Project which has mounted the acclaimed opera Dead Man Walking and the Pulitzer Prize Winning work The Passion of the Little Match Girl within the last 14 months.
