Police seeking information about a woman shot twice; 25 shell casings located

Press release from the Asheville Police Department:

An 18-year-old woman with two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds was transported to Mission Hospital. Officers located a crime scene at 121 Shiloh Road and located 25 shell casings from 4 different caliber guns. The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. on July 27.

Detectives are investigating this incident, but need your help. If you would like to anonymously share information you can text TIP2APD to 847411, or use the TIP2APD smartphone app. You can also share information by calling 828-252-1110.

Since January 1, 2021, the Asheville Police Department has responded to 330 calls for service reporting gunshots or a person shot. In addition, 25 people have been shot in Asheville.
