Progressive Alliance of Henderson County (PAHC) holds June 16 silent vigil for immigration reform

Press release from Progressive Alliance of Henderson County

The public is invited to join members of the Progressive Alliance of Henderson County in a silent vigil for immigration reform in front of the Historic Courthouse in Hendersonville from 4:00 to 4:30 on Friday, June 16th, 2023.

The goal of the silent vigil for immigration reform is immigration reform legislation that: promotes reunification of families; meets economic, business and employment needs of this country; is responsive to those seeking to enter the United States legally; includes a path to citizenship for undocumented residents; and substantially increases the Department of Homeland Security budget for processing applications quickly and efficiently.

The Progressive Alliance of Henderson County (PAHC) compassionately advocates for justice, dignity, inclusion and sustainable, healthy communities for all. Through activities such as postcard parties, rallies and silent vigils, and active support of local organizations and movements, PAHC strives to connect residents of Henderson County and vicinity through grassroots civic engagement, education, outreach and volunteerism.
