The Laurel of Asheville website announces that its publisher, Jerry Johnson, has announced the launch of a new magazine “devoted to farm-to-table living in our mountains and foothills.”
Called Plough to Pantry, this regional publication is something he’s been considering for a while. “People kept asking me to publish a locally-produced food magazine. The success of The Laurel convinced me that we could do it. I just had to wait for the right time,” he says. That time is now. The first issue is scheduled for publication in late winter.
The four-color quarterly magazine will feature articles on local food and farms, restaurateurs, brewers, distillers, and fermenters, as well as the local retailers where their products can be found.
