Representative Brian Turner hosts town hall meeting at Skyland Fire Department, March 9

Representative Brian Turner will host a town hall meeting at Skyland Fire Department located at 9 Miller Road S, Skyland, NC 28776 on Saturday, March 9th at 3pm. He will be joined by Asheville City Councilman, Vijay Kapoor. The two will be discussing state and local budget priorities and the legislative agenda for the 2019 Long Session at the North Carolina General Assembly.

“Meeting with folks face-to-face to share information, listen to concerns, and answer questions is, in my opinion, what every elected official should be doing,” said Representative Turner. “One of my goals is to create better coordination between the state, county, and city, so I am excited Councilman Kapoor will be joining me at my first town hall this year.”

“We on City Council have many challenging decisions to make in the coming months and I’m grateful to the opportunity to talk with the public about them directly,” said Councilman Kapoor.

Town Halls have been a regular part of Representative Turner’s constituent outreach and he has consistently held them across District 116 since he was first elected in 2014. As always, this event is free, non-partisan, and open to the public. A ttendees are encouraged to ask questions and express any ideas or concerns they may have during the meeting.
