Poet Tracey Schmidt is set to release “Returning Home,” a CD poetry from her new book, “I Have Fallen in Love with the World.” A release party will be held at Hawk and Ivy (133 North Fork Rd., Barnardsville) on Sunday, Aug. 26.
During the event, Schmidt will read her poetry along with the works Rumi, Hafiz, Yeats, set to improvised music by vocalist Miriam Matossian, multi-instrumentalist Chris Rosser and percussionists River Guerguerian and Matthew Cox. (The musicians also perform on Schmidt’s album.)
