From the GoFundMe campaign for Rosebud Video:

Welcome to Rosebud Video’s GoFundMe!

My name is Denise, and many of you know me already as a loyal Rosebud employee for 4 years, and I’ve been a member for 10 years.

“There’s no place like home (Rosebud).” – The Wizard of OZ (1939)

An Asheville relic, Rosebud has served the larger part of Asheville for the last 15+ years, and has been an Asheville video store for 25+ years. Rosebud is a unique, locally own video rental store, located off Charlotte street in the heart of Downtown Asheville. Many people turn to Rosebud because we offer a personal touch to your movie rental experience!

“Go ahead, make my day.” – Sudden Impact (1983)

The current owner of Rosebud has decided to retire from the rental business and I am looking to continue Rosebud’s legacy! Your contribution will help me to achieve this goal!

I aspire to reach my funding goal within the next 30 days. I need your help now, for the end of Rosebud is nigh!

“I’m gonna make [you] an offer [you] can’t refuse.” – The Godfather (1972)

Driven by my love of movies, old and new, and by all the Asheville movie lovers (old and new) … I want to continue the experience and service that Rosebud provides to the community. I love this store! My plan is to grow Rosebud in the way that my customers want to see, with more movie choices, and merchandise.

“Let Rosebud Live!” – Rosebud Customer (2016)

Words cannot express how thankful I am for all those that I have had the pleasure of speaking with in the store, while helping direct them to the perfect movie for their evening. I also find it beyond words to express the gratitiude and joy that it will bring me to be assisted in reaching my goal with your contribution.

“I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.”
– A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)

“Rosebud.” – Citizen Kane (1941)
