SisterCare holds a live auction at Lake Julian, Aug. 16

Press release from event organizers:

SisterCare was formed to serve the LGBTQ community and provides free short-term, in-home non-medical care as well as transportation to doctor appointments and errands for folks recovering from accidents, illness or surgery.

To help raise money to provide training, pay insurance premiums, and offer gas cards and T-shirts to volunteers, as well as other upfront costs, SisterCare is holding a live auction at Lake Julian on Sunday, August 16th from 11 am to 4 pm.

Items to be auctioned include area restaurant gift certificates, art, local healing sessions, and local excursions. Refreshments at the event will be provided from in-kind donations from restaurants including Home Grown, Vortex, El Que Pasa and more.
