Here’s the press release from Warren Wilson College:
Pandit Sugato Nag, sitar master from Kolkata, India, is presenting two events Nov. 3 in Swannanoa and Black Mountain with Nitin Mitta, tabla.
At 3:30 p.m., a lecture demonstration will be presented in Warren Wilson College’s Canon Lounge, in Gladfelter Student Center. The demonstration is free and open to community members.
At 7:30 p.m., there will be a concert at White Horse in Black Mountain, with opening music by the Warren Wilson College Gamelan Ensemble. Tickets are $5 each for students and $15 each for everyone else.
The Warren Wilson College music department and Western Carolina University music school are sponsoring the events. Additional sponsorship is being provided by the Warren Wilson offices of International Programs and Student Activities, and the WWC Lyceum Committee.
