South College School of Nursing earns CCNE accreditation

Press release from South College:

The South College School of Nursing has earned accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for both its bachelor’s and master’s degree level programs in nursing.

South College, a private, regionally accredited institution, has been granted CCNE accreditation for five years after meeting all of the standards set forth by the organization.

“We have developed a rigorous academic curriculum designed to prepare outstanding future nurses and advanced practice professionals,” said Dr. Jason T. Shuffitt, dean of the South College School of Nursing. “Achieving CCNE accreditation directly reflects the rigor and quality of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing programs at South College.”

An autonomous accrediting agency, CCNE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national agency that assesses and identifies programs that engage in effective educational practices.
South College offers nursing programs online and at its campuses in Knoxville and Nashville in Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia; and Asheville, North Carolina. For more information about South College, visit https://www.south.edu.
