Splasheville closed for repairs; tentative date for reopening June 1

Press release from the city of Asheville:

Asheville’s fun splash play fountain Splasheville developed a plumbing problem over the weekend and had to be closed.

Crews are working to get it back up and running. It is tentatively expected to reopen Thursday, June 1.

The interactive water feature in downtown’s Pack Square Park delights children with its 21 jets of water that run in 12 combinations. You never know where it’s going to splash you next!

Splasheville is open 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily with the exception of closures for inclement weather or special events. Or, in this case, repairs.

For more information, call Asheville Parks & Recreation at 828-259-5800. To keep up with closures for special events, follow Parks & Recreation’s Facebook page.
