Students and adults from Clyde A. Erwin Middle School honored

Great gains in literacy skills deserve a celebration, and that is what students and teachers from Clyde A. Erwin Middle School did Monday, June 3, 2013 in the school’s library media center.
During the National Literacy Achievement Awards Ceremony, around 30 students and adults from Clyde A. Erwin Middle School were honored for their outstanding accomplishments using Achieve3000®’s online literacy solution TeenBiz3000®.
The students recognized for their achievements were Maribel Aguilarsantana, Nicholas Aldrett, Jeffrey Anders, Rreyale Baird, Tristan Franklin, Jessica Khavrunyak, Vadim Korolchuk, Jasmine Malone, Mitzy Mendezsuarez, Lee Metcalf, James Moore, Trevor Norton, Jax Putnam, Sawyer Ratcliff, Lucas Rhodarmer, Thomas Schindler, Eiley Sutton, Kelly Velazquez, Romaric Ventura, and Cyle Wynne.
In attendance for the ceremony and to congratulate the students from the district were: Geneva Neeriemer, Director of Federal Programs, Buncombe County Schools; Susanne Swanger, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Buncombe County Schools; Joel Hathaway, Principal, Clyde A. Erwin Middle School; and Janean Haggard, Library Media Coordinator, Clyde A. Erwin Middle School. In addition, Jim Coulon, Achieve3000 Chief Strategy Officer, was there.
